The Smart Trio

The Smart Trio, comprising violin, cello and piano, was formed in 1998 by Helena Smart, Gavin Meredith and Leandro Silvera when they met at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Since then they have played many recitals across the country and have supplied high-class background music to countless weddings and corporate events. Their popularity as guest musicians on Cruises has resulted in several trips abroad, delighting their audiences with a combination of great musicianship and slick presentation. Their success as a trio is undoubtedly due to the great musical experience they each have as individuals.

The Emperor String Quartet

This exciting string quartet, well into their second decade together, were the first British group to win the Evian/Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition. Regularly broadcasting for the BBC they are frequent visitors to Europe and have toured America and West Africa.
"The young players of the Emperor Quartet are, not to put too fine a point on it, in a league of their own" The Strad.
