Onboard Entertainers aboard AmaWaterways' ships must be excellent piano players and must be comfortable act as well as a vocalist preferable also use of a 2nd instrument (Guitar or Saxophone). They must be able to improvise in all styles (classical, jazz, modern commercial music styles, etc), know how to interpret a chord chart based on the style of the song, and must be comfortable using various patches (Yamaha CVP digital Grand Piano) depending on the particular song or style of music being played. In addition to covering a wide variety of entertainment like hosting Disco nights, Music Quizzes etc, Also helping Guest Entertainers with their setup of equipment etc.

Qualifications:
o   A talented musician that demonstrates strong skills as a piano/vocal entertainer.
o   Repertoire containing at least three hundred and fifty (350) songs; classical, piano bar classics, modern commercial music.
o   Demonstrated ability to render high energy, interactive and engaging performances.
o   Related performing experience on cruise ships, piano bars and/or duelling piano bars.
§  Demonstrated understanding of how to use technology (Yamaha CVP digital Piano, Apple ipad-DJ software DJAY and DJ controller) in performance, and the discipline necessary to accurately prepare and perform cover tunes.
o   Ability to create and lead musical based games and activities.
o   Ability to accommodate and learn guest song requests.
o   Fluent in the English language and familiar with North American culture and humour.
 
§  A talented musician that demonstrates strong skills as a piano/vocal entertainer.
§  An education that emphasizes the performance of many different styles of music (classical, jazz, blues, Motown, funk, Latin, pop, and rock)
§  Ability to learn music by ear.
§  Ability to perform from memory.
§  Demonstrated understanding of how to use technology (Yamaha CVP digital Piano, Apple ipad-DJ software DJAY and DJ controller) in performance, and the discipline necessary to accurately prepare and perform cover tunes.
 
o   A talented musician that demonstrates strong skills as a piano/vocal entertainer.
o   Repertoire containing at least three hundred (300) songs; classic pieces, jazz, modern commercial songs, 50's-60's-70's hits,  including sing-alongs.
o   Demonstrated ability to render high energy, interactive and engaging performances.
o   Related performing experience on cruise ships, piano bars and/or duelling piano bars.
o   Ability to create and lead musical-based games and activities.
o   Ability to accommodate and learn guest song requests.
o   Fluent in the English language and familiar with North American culture and humour.
