About / Biography

I am a drummer who has been playing for 43 years and I am now available to travel with my work. I have grown up listening to and playing Rock and pop music from the 60s through to the present day. I am guided by the mood of a piece and my creative and improvising style allows me to play any piece on the spur of the moment. Although I understand notation and can understand the structure of a piece I usually play by ear and by memory and I enjoy playing with new musicians. I have always tried to be versatile and over the years I have embraced all genres as they have emerged. Whilst my most comfortable genres are Rock and Blues I find that my playing style is leaning more towards Jazz at the moment.
