About / Biography

We are band "Jazz't Duet" from Latvia - a duet (Olesja Kurakina and Stanislav Scherbak). We would like to offer you our programme of popular songs of different years in lounge/jazz style, wich is supposed to create a pleasant and relaxed mood for your passengers and the crue.

I play a bass-guitar and sing, and my partner Stanislav is a guitarist (solo and rhythm) and a singer, in addition, he operates with a drum machine and a loop pedal. Thus, we both create music, which sounds like a band of 4-5 people would be playing.

Our programme contains 62 songs (c.a. 6 hours for live performance), and we can complement/modify it (depending on wishes of our clients).

Olesja:  I perform songs of different genres and styles (primary - vocals and bass-guitar) in different languages (English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Latvian, etc.).

Music is my true love of all my life. I learned vocals, piano, music theory, bass guitar – with different private teachers, music schools in Latvia, though mostly – just by myself. Additionally, I compose songs, one of which was noticed and highly evaluated at  “Supernova 2017” (local competition for Eurovision), and another one was played on radio “SWH” (in a broadcast for new artists, where it has reached the 3rd place several times and the 1st place once, totally has been in the chart for 18 weeks).

Stanislav: I have been working in music and entertainment industry for 20 years – as a guitar player (rhythm and solo) and singer (in English, Russian, Italian) at different events and restaurants (also on ships of “Tallink Group”), as well as a sound engineer and music/song arranger (i.a., recording at studios, mixing and mastering), and as a composer of music/songs for local singers and theatre plays.

Currently, we perform at restaurants (e.g., 36.line Grill Restaurant, Restbar MO, etc.), as well as at different entertainment events in Latvia.
