Hello! I am a bassist with over 10 years of playing under my belt and several years of gigging as well. I love to play anything where I can be active and doing more than the bare minimum, so metal, jazz, and more complex playing on simple tunes (when it sounds/feels right) are my mantra. In short, I just love to play and strive to be the best I can be at my instrument. I'm seeking my first gig as a bassist on a cruise in order to get some more professional experience and build my musical resume, as well as get the experience of a traveling musician. I am capable of (and love) playing songs that have Billy Sheehan (David Lee Roth, Mr. Big) on the bass, as well as pretty much anything that is guitar centric where there is a lot to play. However, I also love the challenge of learning pieces not written for the bass and figuring out how to make it work, including jazz horn parts, classical pieces where I act as the entire orchestra, and pop songs, where I act as the full band, drums included. I am of course capable of holding back and "just playing the bass" when necessary, and can do this best on the upright bass. I have perfect pitch, which is typically how I learn to play songs, but I can read bass clef a little as well and am actively working to improve my skills in this area.
